Rob ha una laurea in fisioterapia e personal trainer ed ha oltre 20 anni di esperienza nel fitness.

È stato un pioniere dell'outdoor fitness dal 2008 quando ha fondato Standing-Strong Outdoor Fitness. Standing-Strong è stata la prima azienda a introdurre un allenamento regolabile e funzionale nell'ambiente esterno. Nel 2010 Standing-Strong era leader di mercato nel fitness all'aperto in Benelux e disponeva di molteplici soluzioni brevettate.

Nel 2014 Standing-Strong è stato rilevato da KOMPAN e nel 2015 Rob Boogmans è entrato a far parte di KOMPAN per avviare il KOMPAN Fitness Institute e sviluppare le nuove linee di prodotti per il fitness all'aperto. Dal 2015 KOMPAN ha creato oltre 1000 nuove aree di fitness all'aperto ed è ampiamente riconosciuta come la società più innovativa e professionale nel fitness all'aperto.
